Its Time to Sign Up for Your Fall CSA!

In the heat of summer’s bounty and the many beautiful fruits and vegetables that it yields, we at the Bring It Food Hub are thinking of Fall. Beets, winter squashes, turnips, greens, apples, hearty vegetables and nuts; Our excitement grows as the list goes on. Last week, we opened signups for our Fall 2016 CSA season which runs from September 6th to November 18th. We couldn’t be more thrilled to begin preparations to continue working with our ever-growing roster of growers to continue bringing our customers the freshest, finest, and most beautiful produce grown in our area.

Beginning in Fall 2016, the Bring It Food Hub will partner with Memphis’ own Dr. Bean’s Coffee Roasters to offer a weekly or bi-weekly coffee add-on option for CSA members.  For those of you not familiar with Dr. Bean’s Coffee, you are in for a treat. The team at Dr. Bean’s sources the finest coffees available from some of the planets most well-regarded regions and farms, often working with growers with very small lots and rare offerings. Once the beans arrive in Memphis, master roaster Charles Billings puts them through an arduous quality control regiment and roasting practice. Dr. Bean’s roasts tend to fall on the lighter side to accentuate the fruit-forward nature of the coffee and not hide the natural flavor profiles of the beans by over-roasting. Coffee shares will feature a different roast with each distribution and are priced at $15.00 per share. Additionally, our current add-on list will also remain available with options including eggs sourced from local farms, cheese sourced from throughout our region, bread from local bakeries, and fresh flowers.

More of the great seasonal produce from the best growers located within 150 miles of Memphis delivered to pickup locations all over the city, more add-ons from local artisans brought in fresh everyday, accommodating payment options, and the exciting, weekly prospect of putting interesting, fresh, local ingredients on your table.
