What is a Produce Subscription?
Our produce subscription is a weekly delivery service of local fruits, vegetables and other farm products (milk, eggs, honey, nuts, etc.). A produce subscription allows consumers in Memphis to create a relationship with local farmers and receive a weekly sack of delicious, local produce without the hassle of grocery shopping or the worry of unsafe produce.
How does the subscription work?
The customer prepays in advance for their subscription with Bring It Food Hub. Participation is on a first-come first-serve basis. This means that the sooner you sign up, the sooner your spot is secured for the growing season. Once your subscription is secured and the growing season begins, we BRING IT, delivering your bag of sustainably-homegrown food to a specified pick up location for you each week. 
Can I specify what produce comes in my share?
In order to make the subscription work we streamline what goes in each bag. We give every subscriber the same variety and amount of food each week (depending on the type of subscription you order).
Can you tell me what will be in my weekly bag in advance?
Due to the changes in weather and variations across the season we cannot post every crop that will be in your bag each week. However, we can ensure that it will be fresh and delicious. Purchasing a produce subscription is an experience, and Bring It will help you through every step of the way!
What can I expect in my share throughout the season?
Anywhere from 5 to 10 different fruits and vegetables depending on season, share size and availability. All sustainably grown produce is harvested within 24 – 48 hours of delivery to the pick-up location. In addition, a number of our farmers’ vegetable crops are heirlooms and cannot be found in grocery stores.Classic Subscription (sample)

Can I make crop suggestions?
By all means. Subscribers help us develop and diversify our crop selection. We enjoy hearing from our customers and appreciate your feedback. We share the information with our farmers, who want to grow what people want to cook and eat. For suggestions, e-mail us at localfood@bringitfoodhub.com
What size subscription should I purchase?
Generally we recommend the Classic for couples with mixed diets; the Deluxe for 2 vegetarians, or families with a mixed diet; and the Chef for restaurants.
What is seasonal eating?
Seasonal eating means that your meals each day are based on the foods that are grown and harvested during that particular time of year, whether spring, summer or fall. Eating seasonally is often much tastier and healthier, as well as being better for the environment to produce! Check our produce availability list for more detailed information!
Is a produce subscription more expensive than a grocery store?
That depends on the particular food and grocery store, but often purchasing a subscription can be less expensive than a grocery store depending on the size of your share. Our subscriptions typically range from $20-$35 a week for a good supply of fruits and vegetables.

How It Works

Where do you deliver?


What if I miss my delivery or pickup?
We understand that life happens, so if you miss a delivery or pickup, don’t sweat it. E-mail us within 24-hours and we’ll hold your order overnight at our Food Hub in our refrigerated storage area to keep it as fresh as possible. Note that if you do not e-mail us or come by within 24-hours of a missed pick-up, we will donate your subscription bag to a family in need.
Can someone else pick up my order?
Yes! Just have them give us your name when they arrive at the pick-up spot.
If I cancel can I get a refund?
No, once you join the subscription your spot is secured for the amount of time you have selected. We offer a 4-week minimum subscription as well as a 20-week (full season) CSA subscription. Given this no-refund policy, we advise that new members initially sign up for 4-week membership before committing to a longer subscription. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding our refund policy.
Do you reuse your subscription boxes?
Yes. To be environmentally friendly and also reduce waste, we reuse subscription boxes up to 10 times.
What happens if I go on vacation?
If you need to skip a week of delivery to accommodate your travel plans, please notify us  as soon as possible, and we will make arrangements. 
Can I switch share types mid-season?
Yes, but only if you are going UP in share size.
Do I have to pay for my subscription all in advance?
Yes, in order to fully secure your spot for the season you must pay in advance. If you choose a month-to-month plan, it will depend on our subscription capacity each month.
What is this big green thing in my bag?
Each week of your subscription we send out an e-newsletter with recipes and information on the foods in your bag as well as the occasional recipe card. We also list recipes on our website and have helpful blog posts to guide your subscription experience along the way.
Why do the goods available vary by day?
The farmers working with Bring It have different production and harvest schedules, so some items are only available on certain days of the week.
I think something’s not quite right with my order. Now what?
Send us an e-mail at localfood@bringitfoodhub.com or give us a call. It’s especially helpful if you tell us what you were doing when something on the website acted funny, and what type of device (eg. PC, Mac, iPad, Android phone) and browser (eg. Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox) you were using. 

Our Producers

Are your farmers certified organic?
Not every farmer is organic, but every farmer does employ sustainable farming practices. To foster good stewardship of local farmland, Bring It! strongly supports farming practices that enhance flavor, conserve natural resources and biodiversity, and improve the quality of life in local communities. Coupled with each product on our website, is the farmer who grew or created it, giving you one hundred percept transparency on their growing practices and allowing you to contact a farmer directly with questions or concerns.
Where do your farmers live?
We source our farm products from local and regional farmers. Our preference is towards farms within a 150-mile radius of Memphis. Only under extreme circumstances (eg. drought, flood or other crop disasters) will we consider purchasing from outside the Mid-South region.
How do I contact one of the farmers or foodmakers on your site?
Each producers webstand has a contact us button, so you can email them directly. Go to the Producers section, find the farmer or foodmaker you’re looking for, click in, and email away.
