Our CSA Subscription
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. This model has traditionally been used by farmers to allow people to buy into ‘shares’ of a farmer’s harvest.
The Bring It Food Hub model is similar to that, but we source produce from multiple farmers. Our produce subscription, or CSA, is a weekly bag of local fruits, vegetables and occasional staples such as rice. This produce subscription is then delivered to a convenient pick up location near you.
We offer cheese, bread, eggs and flower shares that can be added on to your subscription and received each week with your produce CSA. We also offer various value-added items, meats, coffee and grains that can be bought online in our webstore for delivery with your produce subscription.
A produce subscription with Bring It Food Hub allows consumers in Memphis to create a relationship with the farmers growing their food as well as support the Mid-South economy by buying locally. All produce and food items in your CSA are sourced from within 150 miles of Memphis. Along with your CSA each week we will send out a newsletter about what’s in your bag, where your food is grown and cooking ideas!
For the 2016 Summer Season, the Bring It Food Hub CSA Produce Subscription will run from the May 3rd through September 2nd for a total of 18 weeks. While our deliveries are weekly, you must choose if you want to sign up for the whole season or just for a month (or two, or three). Our Fall Season starts September 6th through November 18th.
Through our online shop, you can sign up for your produce subscription and add on options of cheese, egg, flower and bread shares. For the full season, your payments will be broken up evenly over 4 payments with your first payment upon sign up and the other 3 payments starting May, June and July. For monthly subscriptions, just click the sign up link on our home page and choose your location and share. Then, you’ll have the option at checkout to choose one month subscription. You’ll need to log in and renew for another month if you choose to continue. You can sign up at anytime and your payment will be prorated. Keep in mind that there is a 7 day wait once you sign up before you get your first bag.

Once your subscription is secured and the growing season begins, we BRING IT, delivering your bag of local and sustainably grown food to a specified pick up location for you each week. We offer a variety of times and locations across Memphis.
Participation is on a first-come first-serve basis. This means that the sooner you sign up, the sooner your spot is secured!
In order to make the subscription work we streamline what goes in each bag. We give every subscriber the same item and amount of food each week (depending on the size of subscription you order). Sometimes varieties may differ.
Due to the changes in weather and variations across the season we cannot post every crop that will be in your bag each week ahead of time. However, we can ensure that it will be fresh and delicious. Purchasing a produce subscription is an experience, and Bring It will help you through every step of the way!
Anywhere from 5 to 10 different fruits and vegetables depending on season, share size, and availability. In addition, a number of our farmers’ vegetable crops are heirlooms and cannot be found in grocery stores. Generally we recommend the Classic for couples with mixed diets and the Deluxe for 2 vegetarians or families with a mixed diet. Check out or Products page or our weekly Newsletters to get a better idea of what you can expect each week for the Classic and Deluxe sizes.
Seasonal eating means that your meals are based on the foods that are grown and harvested during a particular time of year, whether spring, summer or fall. Eating seasonally is often much tastier and healthier, as well as being better for the environment to produce! Check our produce availability list for more detailed information!
That depends on the particular food and grocery store, but often purchasing a subscription can be less expensive than a grocery store. Our subscriptions range from $20-$35 a week for a good supply of fruits and vegetables.

How It Works
New this year we our rolling out our home delivery on Fridays. You don’t have to be home to receive your shares. We ask that you put a cooler with ice packs outside your side door so our delivery person can put your bag in it to keep cool. We also deliver to a number of different pick up locations around Memphis. This includes the Bring It Food Hub, located at 694 Madison. Check out our pick-up locations map or contact us to find the nearest pick up for you. If there is enough interest among coworkers and 5 members sign up, we can delivery directly to your business.

We understand that life happens, so if you miss a delivery or pickup, don’t sweat it. Your food won’t go to waste. After the pick-up time window, for food safety and site management purposes, your share is donated to our Pay It Forward Program at the discretion of the volunteer site coordinators. We do not offer credit for missed pick-ups.
If you know you will have trouble making it to your designated pick up location on time, or know that there is a day you will be unable to pick up your bag, let a friend or family member pick up for you. CSA shares make great gifts!
If you just absolutely can’t make pick up, consider changing your pick up day and location for that week. Just log in to your account to change your location and do it at least 48 hours in advance. Another option is to log in to your account and put your delivery on hold. Your bag will be donated to our Pay It Forward Program. We don’t offer credit for delivery holds.
Yes! Just have them give us your name when they arrive at the pick-up spot. Please remind them to be on time!
No, once you join the our CSA your share is secured for the amount of time you have selected. You are sharing in the harvest from farms committed to growing crops all year long for you. We offer monthly subscriptions as well as a 18-week (full season) CSA subscription. Given this no-refund policy, we advise that new members initially sign up for a one month membership before committing to a longer subscription. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding our refund policy.
If you need to skip a week of delivery to accommodate your travel plans, please log in to your account and place your delivery on hold. We will give your bag to our Pay It Forward Program. We don’t offer credit for delivery holds.
Yes, but only if you are going UP, from Classic to Deluxe, in share size.
Although you are not required to pay in full season subscriptions, we do ask that you keep your credit card information on your account up to date for monthly billing. If for any reason you are unable to pay for your order online or have an outstanding balance, please contact us, as all payments must be up to date before you can pick up your CSA. If you sign up for a single month, that month must be paid for in full before CSA pickup.
Each week of your subscription we send out a newsletter with recipes and information on the foods in your bag. We also list recipes on our website and have helpful Facebook posts to guide your subscription experience along the way.
The farmers working with Bring It have different production and harvest schedules, so some items are only available on certain days of the week.

Not every farmer is organic, but every farmer does employ sustainable farming practices. To foster good stewardship of local farmland, Bring It strongly supports farming practices that enhance flavor, conserve natural resources and biodiversity, and improve the quality of life in local communities.
We source our farm products from local and regional farmers. Our preference is towards farms within a 150-mile radius of Memphis. Only under extreme circumstances (eg. drought, flood or other crop disasters) will we consider purchasing from outside the Mid-South region.
